I'm alive

Thanks to all who wrote and prayed (or both). Sorry for the silence; among other things, I was waiting for today's first follow-up with the surgeon. After 12 days, I am down 28 pounds! The doctor warned me not to expect such extreme results next time, a lot of this was water, etc. The really good news was I got to eat solid food (well, mushy anyway) for the first time tonight. You can't imagine how good one tablespoon of chicken salad and one tablespoon of applesauce can taste until you've had only water for 12 days!

Hope to blog some this week, there's some interesting apologetic-type things I want to comment on. I've been cleared to drive, so I probably will do so for the first time Wednesday night for a CRHP reunion meeting. I'll probably be at my parents' until Friday or so, then a few days at my house, then work a little part-time next week, then back full-time October 1st.
